The Archers
The Archers Band is a Band specializing in OLDIES BALLROOM, SWING LATIN, WALTZ, SWING and some Country dance songs from all eras of time.
The Band consist of 7 of Birminghams finest talented musicians:
Jan Archer Shackelford ( vocals and lead guitar)
Michael Shackelford ( drums, Jan's son)
Greg Davis (vocals)
Ray Hood (vocals, keyboard and bass)
Kenny Bonham ( Saxophone)
Tom DeVor (vocals and Harmonica)
Douglas Bobo ( Lead Guitar)
many nights we have special guest Ric Archer (Jan and Dolores's Brother ) lead guitarist for the Motown group THE TEMPTATIONS
THE ARCHER DANCE BAND plays every Saturday night in Birmingham Alabama at the Kelly Ingram VFW post 668

150 -200 dancers each week.
